TIME’S UP Now Reflects on Centennial Anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment

Changing Culture, Equity, TIME'S UP 2020, We Have Her Back

Statement from Tina Tchen, president and CEO of TIME’S UP Now:

“One hundred years have passed since the passage of the 19th amendment, but the battle to protect and expand voting rights for all women, especially women of color who still face voter suppression and targeted disenfranchisement, carries on today. Ahead of this historic election, all those who are eligible must register to vote and make a plan to do so – no matter the obstacles. Doing so could not be more crucial.

“Voting is integrally connected to our fight for racial and gender equity in the workplace and society as a whole. That’s why TIME’S UP Foundation is partnering with the United State of Women’s When All Women Vote campaign – and why TIME’S UP Now and our allies launched We Have Her Back to call out sexist and racist stereotypes against women candidates across parties and across the country.”
